The present paper has been divided into two main parts presenting two competing views. The first part deals with possibilities of Quran translation, while the second part presents aspects of Quran translation in terms of translational boundaries. Aspects of the translatability of the Koran were presented, discussed and contrasted with the views of translation scholars in the sense of a sacred text and a sent miracle. First of all, the meaning of the Qur'an and the status of the transferred sacred texts among Muslim recipients were explained and shown. The emotional impact of the Koran was also discussed. Subsequently, examples of recognized translators of the Koran and German translations of the Koran were given to illustrate the translational difficulties involved. Afterwards, selected theoretical views and theories of translatability in translation studies were introduced in order to discuss the translation aspects of the Qur'an with regard to their relation.
