Many European languages were brought to the African continent through colonization, through American and British protestant Christians devotion working as Church missionaries, and through trade. Among these European languages, English has influenced the local languages. This research underlines Kasim ( a language spoken in the North of Ghana and in the South of Burkina Faso ) typology and it aims at showing the outcomes of language in contact through a phonological, morphological and semantic analysis. This contrastive analysis brings out the structural differences and similarities of words, both in Kasim and English and help to the study of some areas of interference and confirms the linguistics theory of Roberto LADO (1957). This book is useful for linguists, teachers of English as a second and a foreign language and students who are interested by the study African languages and international languages.
